Rocky Hill, CT, April 1, 2025 – Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers- Connecticut, Inc. (LCL-CT) announced today Atty. Mike Kennedy is the new Assistant Executive Director at the Connecticut Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers assistance program in Rocky Hill.

Attorney Kennedy (“Mike”) is a skilled, compassionate, and empathetic attorney with over twenty-five years of legal experience. He brings to LCL-CT special talents and practical knowledge from his personal experience of vulnerability, resilience, and recovery. A “friend of Bill W.,” Mike developed the skills and expertise to become an excellent source of support to others in recovery. Attorney Kennedy inspires colleagues by conveying realistic expectations with understanding and patience.

Mike is well versed in the emotional and physical toll that mental health, substance abuse, crisis, and personal issues can have on the legal community. He is dedicated to helping colleagues identify, accept, and overcome destructive life-altering experiences. Attorney Kennedy embraces the philosophy that the well-being of the legal community is achieved through outreach, trust, and action.

Prior to LCL-CT, Atty Kennedy spent many years in private practice as a Consumer Attorney in Connecticut state and federal courts. His law practice focused on low-income consumer credit clients and at-risk clients disadvantaged by age, ethnicity and mobility including disabled veterans.

Attorney Kennedy is committed to community service and serving at-risk and vulnerable populations. He is an active volunteer and participant for the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center in West Haven, CT, and Connecticut Lawyers Assistance program. Mike brings to LCL-CT the energy and compassion to successfully engage members of the Connecticut legal community.

Atty Kennedy resides in Old Lyme, CT. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law and his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Social Work from Albertus Magnus College cum laude. Mike enjoys quality time friends and family and visiting outdoor locales to fully appreciate the beauty and serenity of the nature.

LCL-CT provides crisis intervention and referral services to the Connecticut legal community. The program is lawyer funded, lawyer supported and committed to helping members of the Connecticut legal community overcome personal, mental health and addiction problems.
